Weissenthurm
Key features of the case study
The objective of the project was to restore and enhance stream morphology and floodplain conditions of the river Nette at the confluence with the Rhine river. Instream structures were improved, the water course was prolonged and land-use "extensification" on the floodplain (e.g. changing cropland to grassland).
